Wij kunnen jullie met trots meedelen dat Ossie Almak de nieuwe trainer voor de gevorderden wordt bij TTV Pingwins. Ossie kan een indrukwekkend palmares voorleggen.
Ossie was de derde gekwalificeerde Afrikaanse speler op de Olympische Spelen van Atlanta in 1996. Hij nam aan 12 Afrikaanse kampioenschappen deel tijdens dewelke hij 5 medailles veroverde. Ossie werd ook nog eens 20 keer landskampioen van zijn geboorteland Soedan.
Als competitiespeler kwam hij uit voor tal van Belgische, Duitse en Nederlandse clubs. In Nederland was dit onder meer het geval bij FVT Rotterdam met wie hij 4 keer kampioen werd als speler en 2 keer als hoofdtrainer.
Als je training gegeven hebt aan Michel de Boer moet je wel erg goed zijn! Het is ook dankzij bemiddeling van Michel dat Ossie bereid is training te geven aan onze vereniging. Hij komt aanstaande donderdagavond met ons kennismaken op de club en vanaf 10 september gaat hij aan de slag. Praktische interne mededelingen daaromtrent volgen nog.

Ossie was the third qualified African player at the Atlanta Olympic Games in 1996. He participated at 12 African championships during which he conquered 5 medals. He also became national champion of his home country Sudan. He played for several clubs in Belgium, Germany and The Netherlands. In The Netherlands this was a.o. the case for FVT Rotterdam where he became Dutch champion 4 times as a team player and 2 times as principal trainer.
If you have given training to Michel de Boer, you must be very good! It’s also thanks to Michel that Ossie is willing to provide training to our club. He will come to say hello this Thursday and will officially start his training sessions as from September 10. Practical aspects will be communicated internally in due time.
